Arthritis is a chronic disease process which
means 'inflammation of the joints'. Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
can be considered the most often. Osteoarthritis usually suffered by the
older age-group. It is a degenerative joint disease. Rheumatoid arthritis is
more serious compared to Osteoarthritis. It affects not only the joints of
body parts, but also the muscles, tendons and other tissues of the body.
Pain and stiffness in the joints are the main
symptoms of arthritis. The pain is tenser especially after exercise.
Rheumatoid arthritis usually develops gradually over several months until
the whole body is affected. Other symptoms include anemia, colitis,
constipation, deformed hands and feet.
A structural change in the articular
cartilage in the joints is the main cause for Osteoarthritis. The examples
of joint affected are the spine and knees, which are often bearing a lot of
weight. Rheumatoid arthritis on the other hand, is resulted by the
inflammation of the lining of the joints which will cause swelling and
deformity. Hormonal imbalance, physical and emotional stress, infection,
severe fright, shock, and injury are the main reasons for Rheumatoid
arthritis. Besides the above causes, hereditary factors might also be the
reason for this disease.

Raw Potato Juice:
Drinking raw potato juice
is an effective arthritis home remedy for rheumatic and arthritic
conditions. The juice is prepared by soaking sliced potatoes (medium-sized
with skin) overnight is a large glass of cold water. Fresh juice is then
extracted. The concentrated potato juice should be diluted with a cup of
water and consumed in the morning before eating any food.
Other Raw Juice:
A cup of green vegetables
juice mixed with a cup of carrot, celery, and red beet juices is another
good choice. A cup of fresh pineapple juice can also ease the arthritis pain
as it reduces swelling and inflammation.
Sesame Seeds Water:
Drinking the whole black
sesame seeds water in the morning can prevent frequent joint pains. It can
be prepared by soaking a teaspoon of black sesame seeds in 1/4 cup of water
overnight.
Garlic: The anti-inflammatory property in the
garlic helps in arthritis remedies. Consume more garlic either raw or cooked
can help in treating this disease.
Banana: A diet of only bananas which is the
sources of Vitamin B6 is proven effective for arthritis. You should follow
the diet for three to four days and can eat eight or nine bananas daily, but
ONLY bananas.
Lime Water: Lime juice contains citric acid
which is a solvent of uric acid that caused arthritis. Lime water is
prepared by diluting the juice of one lime with water. You can drink lime
water once daily preferably in the morning.
Alfalfa Seeds Tea:
A teaspoon of alfalfa
seeds is added to a cup of water to make the alfalfa seeds tea. You need to
drink three to four cups of this tea daily for at least two weeks to get the
result.
