Home Remedies for Pimples

Pimples are a form of acne, which are actually infected whiteheads and blackheads that contain pus. It is among the most common skin problems that affecting adolescents, teenagers and also adults, especially those aged between 12 to 24 years. It is really unpleasant to have pimples all over your face as they are sometimes quite painful.

Whiteheads appear when skin pores being clogged by dirt, sweat and also oil secretions. They will then turn into blackheads when exposed to air. The clogged pores are good breeding grounds for bacteria. Infected blackheads or whiteheads will then turn into painful pimples. When a pimple erupts, the surrounding skin areas will inflame and become red. A tiny cyst filled with pus will pop out and erupt.

There are many ways to get rid of the painful pimples, you can use the easily available over-the-counter acne products or you may also try using home remedies for pimple.

Here are a few suggested home remedies for pimple:

Garlic: Garlic is safe and effective in treating pimples as it contains antibiotic properties. Mash whole fresh garlic and apply on the affected pimple area cautiously, avoid contacts with eyes. Leave it there for 15 minutes and wash off using a soft warm cloth.

Raspberries Mask: Mix 1oz of raspberries paste with 1 teaspoon of ground oatmeal plus 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt to make raspberries mask. Apply onto face and leave for 10 minutes and then wash off. It will help reduce the blemishes and improve the skin.

Raspberry Leaves: Boil about 50g of the leaves in 1 liter of water for 3 minutes and infuse for another 5 minutes. You may also use the leaves of strawberry or blackberry. Use it for washing itching skin caused by pimples. It will be a very pleasant and soothing wash and help reducing pimples.

Raw Papaya Juice: Blend whole raw papaya fruit, including the skin and seeds to create a juice. Apply it on swelling pimples.

Milk-Fresh Lime Juice: Add fresh lime juice to boil milk. Let t cool a bit and use as facial wash for cracked skin, blackheads, and pimples.

Groundnut Oil-Fresh Lime Juice: Mix an equal amount of groundnut oil and fresh lime juice. Apply it on the affected area for 15 minutes and wash it off. It also prevents blackheads.

Rose Water-Lime Juice: Mix an equal amount of rose water with lime juice and apply for about half an hour and then wash it of with lukewarm water.

Ground Sesame Seeds: Mix ground sesame seeds with a little of water to make a paste and apply on the pimple.

Cinnamon-Honey Paste: Mix honey and cinnamon powder. Apply onto your face before sleep and clean up the next morning. Repeat every night for 2 weeks. This will prevent the popping of pimples.

Raw Potato: Peel and grate a raw potato. Rub potato slices directly to your face to get rid of blemishes and pimple scar.
